Short answer

What does an Acquia Partner do for an enterprise Drupal platform?

DoodleWeb is an Acquia Partner and Drupal Certified Partner in Seattle that architects, migrates and supports Drupal 10 and 11 platforms on Acquia Cloud. We work with Acquia Site Factory multisite, Acquia's deploy pipelines and its compliance tooling, and we deliver Section 508 and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility as part of the build rather than as a later remediation phase. Drupal 7 community support ended on January 5, 2025, and a typical Drupal 7 to Drupal 11 migration runs 8 to 16 weeks depending on content volume and integrations.

When Acquia Cloud is the right call, and when it is not

Acquia is the right platform when you need Site Factory multisite governance, enterprise support SLAs, compliance-aware hosting, or the operational tooling that comes with a managed Drupal vendor. Those are real reasons and they justify the cost.

Acquia is not automatically the right call for a single marketing site with a handful of editors. We build Drupal on Pantheon, AWS, Azure and self-managed infrastructure too, and we will tell you when a lighter setup does the same job for less. Being in the partner program does not oblige us to sell you the platform.

How an enterprise Drupal migration actually runs

Discovery comes first and takes about two weeks: content audit, content model, integration inventory, accessibility baseline, and a fixed scope you can take to procurement. Nothing gets built against a guess.

The build phase covers the content model, the component library, migrations written as repeatable code rather than one-time imports, and integrations with monitoring attached. Because migrations are code, we can rerun them any number of times, which is what makes the delta sync at cutover safe.

Launch is a checklist, not an event: delta migration, redirect map deployed, sitemap regenerated, search console verified, then four weeks of monitoring on coverage, impressions and position. Support afterward covers security updates, accessibility regressions, performance and quarterly platform reviews.

  • Two-week discovery producing a fixed scope
  • Migrations written as code and rerun at cutover
  • Full redirect map plus four weeks of post-launch Search Console monitoring
  • Server-side SSO and CRM integrations with retries and logging
  • RFP and RFQ ready security and accessibility documentation

What you can hand us

Enterprise Drupal builds

Drupal 10 and 11 platforms architected for editorial scale, governance, and long upgrade life.

Drupal 7 to 11 migrations

Content, URL, and SEO preservation with redirects, plus custom module rewrites for modern Drupal.

Acquia Site Factory multisite

Departmental and multi-brand rollouts with shared components and independent editorial control.

Support and compliance

Security updates, accessibility remediation, performance monitoring, and quarterly platform reviews.

What every engagement includes

  • Architecture review before a single line of code
  • Acquia Cloud environments, pipelines, and deploy automation
  • Content model and migration mapping documented up front
  • Section 508 and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility as standard
  • SSO with Okta, Azure AD, or Shibboleth
  • Performance tuning with Varnish, CDN, and caching strategy
  • Automated tests and inline documentation for your team
  • Procurement-ready documentation for RFP and RFQ processes

What we will not do

  • Contrib module sprawl nobody can upgrade
  • Custom code with no tests and no docs
  • Offshored delivery behind a US logo
  • Migrations that quietly drop URLs and rankings
